Facebook and LinkedIn want to increase the number of women studying engineering and computer, launching a joint initiative announced yesterday that they’re waiting to fill thousands of lucrative jobs in Silicone Valley that have been long dominated by men.
As said in Endi.com, Telle Whitney, president and executive director of the Anita Borg Institute, associate of this program, believes that diversity brings more innovation to technology.
“Think about it,” she said. “If everyone who creates a product equals know that the results will not be anywhere near as interesting. For the sake of our future, we want women involved in all projects that change our lives.”
